Director Statement:

The House on Lucky Street was inspired by the hundreds of stories I've heard and read about across the United States as suburban residents move back to our cities. In the Mission District, San Francisco, where the film takes place and I've lived for 15 years, rapid redevelopment has left many residents behind. Homelessness is visible everywhere now, and private shuttles whisk away the new residents to jobs outside the city.

San Francisco is not unique, other cities where similar change is evident include Portland, Seattle, Detroit, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles. The eviction crisis is real but there are options as our film suggests to let everyone live together in peace.
