Description: NO, A Flamenco Tale is a fictional musical film, an urban, contemporary flamenco opera in which the action is expressed through dance and the original text is narrated through song.
In NO, A Flamenco Tale, the language of film and new audiovisual narrative techniques related to contemporary art come together to explore a hybrid sphere that has formatted a part of audiovisual culture for quite some time.
It is also a study of the expression of flamenco in film and performing art, and presence different language of representation, different codes that shape a global story in the same support, starting from their own specific languages.
The original musical composition strikes up a dialogue between tradition and modernity, between classical and contemporary, just as the choreography and cinematographic depictions are intertwined with dance and the performing arts. The professional cast of national and international dancers is intergenerational.
NO shortens the distance between the language of film and new technical narratives in contemporary art.
