PLUCK is about New York City in the 1950s through the early 60s and the people who contributed culturally to the city and to the world. The filmmaker's personal interviews of notable New Yorkers such as William F. Buckley Jr., Dick Hyman, Betty Comden, Magnum photographer Burt Glinn, Eileen Ford, and many others.

Their reflections and unique cultural achievements are interwoven with dynamic Magnum photographer clips, clips of controversial guests on TV's 'Firing Line', Dick Hyman's piano homage to Art Tatum, plus private and public archives that chronicle the achievements made by these talented New Yorkers in the city that continues to be the greatest city on earth.
