Paula Sozzi Saslow
Paula Sozzi Saslow is an award-winning filmmaker based in Palo Alto, CA. She’s the founder of the production company Copper Rose Films and co-founder of RIFF (Reel Impact Film Festival), a film festival that celebrates social impact business reels. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina she moved to the US where she obtained an MA in Spanish from Stanford University, a Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature from UC Berkeley and an MFA in Film Directing from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.

Her short film “Diablo”, which she wrote and directed, was screened at numerous festivals including Oakland International Film Festival, San Antonio Film Festival, and Austin Short Film Festival. It also won numerous awards such as a Remi at WorldFest Houston International Film Festival and was a finalist for the 2017 Imagen Awards.

She is a 2018 SFFilm FilmHouse Resident developing the feature film script “Perfectly human Death (Ph.D.)” with co-writer Samuel Blue Gibson, which advanced to second round for the Sundance screenwriting labs. She just directed the short film “The Adjunct’, a proof of concept for the feature-length film “Perfectly human Death” which will start making the rounds in the festival circuit starting in September 2018.
