Faisal Attrache is an award-winning Syrian-American filmmaker who received his MFA in Film Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles. His short documentary film GROWING HOME played at more than 30 festivals around the world, won best short documentary at the Newport Beach Film Festival and was nominated for best short documentary at the Sheffield Docfest.
His recent short docu-fiction film HASTA SIEMPRE, COMANDANTE was made in Cuba under the tutelage of Abbas Kiarostami and won a jury special mention at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. He is currently working on FROM THE MOUNTAIN, a historical drama about his great-grandfather Sultan Basha Al Atrash and the Great Syrian Revolt of 1925.
